rConsole

This tool provides a simple interface to allow the issuing and logging of Domino server console commands.

It allows Domino Administrators/Developers to quickly send any Domino server console command from any Lotus Domino client. It's a perfect place to store those frequently used commands or just somewhere you can keep a record of various server results and activities.

Installation:

  1. Place the database on a Domino server (you can also use it locally if you wish)
  2. Change the ACL as required.
  3. Sign the database with an appropriate ID.
  4. For each required server, edit the Server document in the Domino Directory and check/change the Security section so that the required administrators/operators/developers have the required access to issue Server Console commands to those servers.
  5. Delete the example documents in the rConsole view if you wish.
  6. Edit and change the Servers listed in the Settings view.
  7. Review and change the Commands listed in the Settings view.

Usage:

  1. Click on New rConsole.
  2. Select the Domino server.
  3. Either:
    * Choose a desired command.
    * Type in a command.
  4. Click on the Send Console Command button.
  5. Depending upon the command, the results will either appear in the document or be listed in the servers log.
  6. You can choose to save the document and exit, or exit and choose not to save.
